No she is alive in some form. Read Grimoire card Aftermath for details. But that much is confirmed by Bungie.

Edited by magiczar: 9/25/2015 11:54:56 AMRemember the new mission which gets you a new access into black garden from the underground tunnels (where you fight a vex Minotaur in the vanilla destiny mission). I can't remember the name right now. In any case once u enter the black garden from the place u had the conflux earlier look for the dead ghost on a top ledge on the front facing wall.
