After seeing this picture of a Taken Guardian on DeviantArt I had an idea.
Yes Griffball and Bungieball have legacy status in the company and is the product of the community's brainchild but Rift is lackluster.
Zombies in CoD and Flood in Halo saved the multiplayer experience for these games.
Destiny needs a gametype that mimics that using the Taken lore/mechanics.
12 man rumble free for all
1 starts off as a Taken Guardian only capable of using Modified Taken Nades/Melee/Super and attempts to infect the rest of the players.
Nade = Axiom bolt similar to Taken Centurion or the Area Denial Fire bombs that the Knights throw
Melee = Phalanx (lulz)
Super = Captain blinding bubble of bullshit
Thoughts on this gametype?
EDIT1: wow this is more popular than i thought
here is poll thread https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/156319354

I would love to play a zombie mode. But if this is suppose to be cannon how do we get "untaken"?

Good idea, bungie should probably do this

"Zombies in CoD and Flood in Halo saved the multiplayer experience for these games." Are you f*cking daft?

They should have this as a raid mechanic also

I remember juggernaut in halo, it better suits imho. I am not saying that this is all very bad idea, but it has some problems and dislikes. First of all the term "taken" if u ever read lore means that someone has taken the creature (in grimore they stick also with a term gifted and etc., meaning its and evolution of creature that was taken) using the power of the deep (darkenss). This power is supposed to be like some kind of magic. And only a few have this power. Especially in the story only Oryx had that power and he is supposed to receive it from the darkness itself. So in doesnt suite with kind of infection from gardian to gardian in any possible way. The one with juggernaut - when one of the 6 has superior power and when u kill him u gain his power - this seam much more suitable.

Neh not needed in the game.. so more then likely will end up in the next major expansion...

Meh, sounds lame. Works in cod and halo because all players are the exact same, but Destiny has classes that are all unbalanced.

Bump it up bro

And the guardians only have pre-nerf Felwinter's Lie and a sidearm.
RIP infected guardian
