I agree with you 100%, that if people wish to continue the story and gain new items and such, they must pay for it. But the old equipment should remain, as it is Un ethical to remove content from people to force them either to abandon their investment or pay more under extortionate circumstances. I love the possibilities this game could become, but when content expires this fast, I don't really think this is the game for me to continue playing.
