Well the NF is off limits and vendors would be useless for him.
Also most drops would now be useless I gues,not sure about that since I do own TTK.
Still even tho what you say is true most serverbased (MMO,s which Destiny clearly is) dont do this in such a short timespan.
Edit:At least not the ones you pay for.
