Do you still use a VCR as well? Do you still listen to cassettes? Do you still go to Blockbuster? No you do not. What is the point of living in the past? Bungie has moved on, whether you want to or not is up to you. Keep your old guns and play the hell out of Crucible, where they are still relevant.

 •
Do you still use a VCR as well?
Gear isn't the hardware; it's the media. I'll counter your analogy with another- -The original Star Wars trilogy was released on VHS tapes. -The prequel trilogy was released on DVD. -Both, however, are now available on Blu-Ray. And even though I vastly prefer the originals, I still wanted ALL of them. Destiny 2.0 is now a Blu-Ray player, yet Bungie isn't allowing us to get Blu-rays of our favorite "media." Just as people want to be able to go back and watch the original Star Wars films, players want to be able to use old AND new gear.

 • Now why did they add the Original Star Wars to Blueray? To make more money, plain and simple. To get you to buy it again. If there wasn't any more money in it, they never would of did it. There isn't any more money in letting you use your old guns. Thus they do not care.
