Marrik leaned against a wall in the tower courtyard, watching the guardians come and go.

Marrik put a hand on the auto rifle on his back. "What the...?!"

[b]The massive Cabal figure turns to look at him, the large cannon on his back retracted, same for the jetpacks and the shield-blade.[/b]

"Well that's one I definitely haven't heard before. Because last time I checked, Cabal weren't exactly friendly with the guardians. Nor were they guardians. Care to explain? This oughta be good..."

"Well, you see, my mother is an Exo. Guardian, she is a hunter. My father, on the other hand, was a Cabal Centurion of a small, reclusive legion known as the Dusk Raiders. The Dusk Raiders never cared much for fighting guardians, and never really danced with Darkness like the Hive, or vex. My father was sent on a diplomatic mission with the city, and that's how they met. Long story short, boom, here I am. Guardian Cabal. Pretty sure I'm the only one, too. Titan Sunbreaker and Defender."

"An Exo? Making a baby? That's a new one... And with a cabal? I'm not even going to ask. Well, fellow, er, titan, seen much action lately? Zavala's had me stuck here in the tower like a thrall in a cage for the past few days."

"I've been to the Dreadnaught already, helped a lot of Guardians with fire support. Zavala doesn't seem to trust me yet, but Cayde and Ikora really like me. So, I'm lucky on that end."

"Eh, don't take it personally. Zavala doesn't really trust anyone. Except for a select few veteran Titans. And sometimes Ikora. But not Cayde. Definitely not Cayde."

"Yeah, he's a funny one. So, do you use cabal weaponry, or guardian weapons? Because having some cabal tech on our side would really pack a punch."

"Well since Guardian armor and weaponry literally is too small for me, I indeed use Cabal armament. My suit is similar to the suit of Valus Thu'urn and Valus Mau'aul. But combined into one."

"Ah. Mau'ual." Marrik gestured to his gauntlets. "I got these bad boys when I raised their command center last week. Found an extra pair sitting in his armory, and I couldn't help but... Uh, borrow them. My ghost made a copy of the schematics and we made a downsized version."

"Nice! Careful though, they can overheat easily."

"Yeah. I learned that the hard way. Luckily, I found that these are compatible with an antifreeze coolant system that I installed into my armor. Now they're cool as ice."

"Good idea, they can stay cool like that. Good thinking." [b]he nods at the guardian.[/b] "So, I was planning on hitting the Dreadnaught later. Want to tag along?"

"Sure! I haven't been in a few weeks, and I've been itching to punch a couple thralls in the face."

"Sweet. I'll be leaving soon."

"Alrighty. I've got a couple repairs to make to my ship, so I'll meet you in the Dreadnaut. Where do you want to meet?"
