[i]David keeps writing down patterns and cabal tactic on his small notepad fully aware of the guardian approaching him. After one long silence David turns to Hunter-0 and speaks to him in a welcoming tone.[/i] D: What do [i]I[/i] think? I think they're beating the shit out of each other. Very entertaining if you ask me.

He put his rifle on his back and stretched his entire body and gave out a long yawn.[/i] D: Oh man, staying prone in the sand for and hour really gives you a reason to stretch. So, what brings you to Mars? The cool breeze? The ruins of Freehold? Or are you here to make sand castles in the dunes?

[i]David looks at the void sword very carefully, studying it from where he stood. To see such a rare weapon only made him want it even more. It stood there, taunting at him. As he snapped out of it he quickly goes to a small computer on his left forearm an checks for anything vex related.[/i] D: Uh huh, alright. I can tell you that there's a huge Vex gate in the Kings Valley guarded by 4 minotaurs, a Vex Hydra, 1 hobgoblin. Take those out, and the portal opens. I've seen countless guardians go inside and never come out. Plus I think that you're looking in the wrong place for a gate lord. You might wanna head to Venus for that.

Hunter-0 looks at David, and tilts his head slightly to the right as David stares at his sword. "I guess, but the vex only have 1 army here, so structures for Gate lords are at easier access due to lack of troops." He lifts his sword, puts it on his back, and summons a sparrow, the Ravensteel, before waving. "Alright, happy hunting," he says before boosting off.

[i]As David saw Hunter boost off he summoned his ghost and transmatted to his ship and flew off to the tower to hand in his report to Ikora.[/i]

[i]David looked back as soon as Devil walked up to them and kept taking notes. As he turned around seeing 2 guardians he's startled for a bit and continues finishing his notes.[/i] D: Oh jeez. Yeah, watching space turtles and Mayan terminators duke it out is very entertaining. Might I ask your name?

"Apparently there's a gate lord down there making a nuisance of himself." He motions towards a giant vex that had just ripped through several rows of phalanxes like they were made of paper. "I was assigned to take him out."

[i]David stops cold for a second as he heard Devil say that the vanguard assigned him to take it out, instead himself. He looked Devils straight in the eye and spoke to him[/i] D: The vanguard chose you to take him out, instead of [b]me?[/b] Ikora I feel betrayed... No hard feeling towards you however.

He shrugs, "Zavala said your were already observing the battle and shouldn't be bothered by a different mission. Ikora caught me before I left and said to tell you to help so you can observe a gate lord up close for "research purposes." " He looks at you. "So, are you coming?"

[i]David took out his hand cannon and nodded at Devil. He was itching for some adventure, seems like he finally had his prayers answered.[/i] D: Lead the way big guy. I haven't the slightest idea where to go.

"Pretty simple really." His form bursts into flame and he charges down the hill destroying several enemies with each hammer he threw, slowly making his way towards the massive form of the gate lord.

[i]David quickly follows behind, shooting any surviving enemies that avoid Devil's havoc. With each step he took, so did his anxiousness to fight against a gate lord. An enemy he has yet to face. [/i]

With he last burst of Devil's super he throws a hammer at the gate lord. He then draws his hand canon and fired at the gate lord. The gate lord is stunned for a minute, then starts firing back with its torch hammer.

[i]As soon as the gate lord started firing, David unleashed a total of 4 rockets onto the Gate lord, devastating it in the proscess and leaving it weakened. David noticed quickly the damage he had done and gave Devil a sign that he was weakened, if it wasn't obvious enough.[/i]

[i]David blinks on top of the gate lord and proceeds to cut off it's head and torch cannon. An oppurtunity like this shouldn't be wasted. As soon as he salvaged both items, he summoned his ghost and transmatted both. He turned to Devil and have him his thanks.[/i] D: You know what, I gotta thank you for this. It's been real... eye opening, how these big guys act. G: I got it all on film! D: Uh huh. [i]David extends his hand to Devil, as a sign of appreciation.[/i]
