"And the consensus files were definitive on it being in this location, ghost?" Asked the warlock. "Have I ever been that wrong?" The ghost retorted. "Well there was that one time where you incorrectly decrypted that encryption back on Luna and - ". BOOM!!!
"Did you hear that kc?" The ghost inquires. "Yes a magnetic grenade. And this far out in the exclusion zone. Any guardian is aware all excursions this far out end in suicide so who could - of course a titan. No sense in allowing a comrade to die I suppose."
The warlock begins to resonate with void energy. And his weapon the most infamous bad juju growls at its newly acquired food. He begins to whisper words, not towards the enemy or titan. Or even his ghost but rather reality itself They augment to a shout. "REALITY IS THE FINEST FLESH!! THOUGH I SUPPOSE YOU CABAL WILL DO!"
*a nova bomb travels of towards the cabal disintegrating near all of them*

"Name's Kairos. Defender Titan. Appreciate the help. Have any spare ammo for Pulse Rifles, Snipers, and HMG's? I asked the Tower for a supply drop, but just because I defied orders last week Zavala vetoed that. There's a Valus on the far side of the valley, and he's re-arming what's left of the Sand Eaters Legion. Vanguard wants him gone. He doesn't have high grade armor, so the plan was to get just far enough to give him a third eye. What're you doing out here?" The Titan pants, catching his breath.

The ghost speaks softly "a nova bomb has been detonated 100m north of us lieutenant". Kovac nods as he aims his hereafter north looking for the source muttering, "Always a fun party when cabals involved right." After a few seconds the titan sees two other guardians, "This must be the titan in trouble the vanguard informed me about...but whos the warlock." Kovac crouches his hereafter zooming closer to the pair.

The figure of the warlock pulls the titan up and they continue to converse. Then, the silhouette of the warlock stares dead down your scope... They race off on sparrows. Though you notice that the warlock seemed to be taunting you before going off

The Titan is helped up by the Warlock. They appear to be having a conversation, until the Titan points to the closest valley wall, before looking around, as if he realizes he's being watched. He gives no indication of knowing where you are.

"Well karios, is it? I can supply you with ammunition, though I'm not sure how much it will be of use to you. From your story you're no rookie. You know well as much as anyone that excursions out this far in the exclusion zone are irrefutable death!!! Though I suppose that would put me in question as well." The warlock begins to contemplate and talk to his ghost, or himself maybe... "It would be foolish to allow you hunt down a valus alone in the state of the system right now along with your own. It would be foolish... Alright then, I'll accompany you on this mission. However the cabal are well equipped in this area. I'm not sure you need any example from what just occurred. So this will be a reconnaissance mission to assure our hides. And in return you can assist me.... Find what I've been looking for?" The warlock, dodging your question grants a hand to help you up. He is hiding something "Up to you karios, oh and I recommend not pulling this again. Vanguard forces don't residually go out this far. Your lucky I got here when I did"

Kairos accepts the hand. "Sure. I've been here for about a week, so I've pretty much seen it all when it comes to what's out here. Due west, there is a Vex ruin of some sort. Leads down into some caves, I didn't really poke around in there. Saw some Taken, though they seemed to be very disoriented by... something. Dunno what. Cabal have from what I can tell two Forward Operating Bases set up, one on the right side of the valley about three clicks from here, the other on the left side, closer to six clicks. Further down, well, they were excavating something of unknown origins, looked to be similar to Hive structure. Didn't really see much else. No human colonies, just a ton of Sand Eaters." Kairos points towards the close valley wall. "I set up a small base of my own there. Got some food if you need it, just not a lot of ammo. We can rest there for the night. I can take first watch, fix up the damage I've taken. Sounds good?"

Listening intently before speaking, "I understand shaxx...ye...yes i will...ill bring him home." The channel closes with a click as kovac sighs softly, before looking around the pair making sure area was clear. Kovac noticed for just a second that the warlock had locked eyes with him through his scope, which made him frown. Holstering the sniper onto his back kovac summoned his speeder, hopping on it and hitting the thrusters making his way towards the pair. Kovac flew past some of the rocks that laid a skewed around the area before noticing the pair hopping onto speeders, "Oh god damn it!"

Only to find out that your ghost didn't witness nor hear any of that

"vex ruins? Disoriented entities near them? I knew you'd never steer me wrong ghost!!!!" The warlock more or less whispers to himself. Realizing you see his outburst, he recollects himself. "I mean sounds astounding. We should head out now though. It's getting dark and from recent investigation, taken seem more rambunctious around that time. However I already sense like we're being... Watched" He turns away. Seeming overly paranoid. "Let's hurry"

"Alright. I thought I saw a scope glint a second ago, but for all I know it was just some relic iron. Come on, I'll lead you to my home away from home." Kairos responds, filing away the outburst in his memory banks. "What's your name? I didn't catch it if you said it."

"Oh my name, nothing special... KC. Don't wear it out alright. Also" the warlock signals you to Mount on your sparrow. "Make a few circles before we start out to your base, whatever you saw wasn't relic iron. Wasn't vex or cabal either"

Kairos mounts his Sparrow, nodding. He looks off into the distance, feeling the wind kick up. "Dust storm's coming! If you can, close up your armor vents, otherwise its a pain to clean them! If something's trying to follow us, we'll lose them in the storm. IR has trouble seeing in it, so most optics are screwed. We're about half an hour out from my base, storm will be on us in ten minutes." Kairos calls over the rising wind, waiting for you to be ready before taking off at top speed towards his base.

"Good, we'll discuss the strategy for the mission once we get to your base" the warlock silently follows behind you seeming focused on a conversation that was never occurring. He stares back to the 'glint'. "I'm not going back not yet" he whispers.

"Hmm?" Kairos asks, slowing down, leveling out with you. "Something wrong?"

Sensing that they were getting ready to leave, kovac swore loudly slammed the accelerator down as far as possible, "Ghost open a comms with that titan now before we lose him!" The ghost, a vanguard variant, began to open up pinging towards the titans ghost only 68m away.

"New comm channel open. I don't know who opened it, but they're broadcasting. I'll clean up the signal, that sand is starting to cause problems." Kairos' Ghosts says, and he nods. "It should be good now." "Alright, whoever just opened this channel, state who you are, and your intentions. Make it quick too, that storm that's coming in will cause problems for us talking." Kairos says over the private comm channel.

Looks at the distance displayed on my HUD, it reads 45m to destination. "Do not trust that warlock i repeat DO NOT TRUST THAT WARLOCK!" The comms begin to sputter as kovac's ghost tried to enhance the signal.

"Say again Kovac, Shaxx sent you? Alright. My Ghost is doing it's best to patch up the signal, but you said do not trust this Warlock I have with me? Fine. I'll keep an eye on him. I sent you coordinates for my base, if you want to watch him, there's a ridge just above it. You can watch from there." Kairos responds, glancing over at the Warlock, who appears to be thinking about something.

"Karios, I heard everything. Don't be a fool!!! Would the vanguard estate someone as imperative as a commander out on a retrieval mission this far into the exclusion zone? He's most likely a rouge. There are dozens of them out here. He will just kill us both and purloin our materials!!! Please believe me. When we get to your base... We have to kill him okay?" The warlock shouts to you even more anxious

"Look, I don't know who the hell you two are. I don't know what you want with me. All I do know, is that right now, all I can trust is myself. You try to follow me, and I'll take two shots. One six inches to the left of your right shoulder, then another, thirty seconds later, on your shoulder. That a good enough deterrent for you?" Kairos snarls, turning his Sparrow, and sending the vehicle to it's limit, leaving a dust trail behind. The storm looms overhead, dark and ominous.

A single shot rings out. Instead of being where Kairos said the first one would be, it's directly into your Sparrow's core. It instantly slows you down, when suddenly, Kairos flies overhead on his Sparrow, going towards the Cabal's FOBs.

"Karios, I admit it alright! That imbecile was right but for the wrong reasons!!!!! You're going to die if you head off alone and you know it. Just... Let me explain, I'll even let that 'commander' speak! Okay?" I walk up with my hands where you can see them.
