I don't mind it. The fun thing about the gear is finding something new and seeing if it's good or not.

 • But what if it's not. In fact, most year 2 gear sucks compared to year 1, that's why they nerfed and locked year 1 gear. You won't have to grind for sucky gear(and pad play time numbers) if the stuff you already have is better than the new stuff. BUNGIE knows this. I may like my new Suros AR, but I'm not in love with it like my Hard Light. None of the new weapons feel(gameplay wise) as good as year 1 IMO.

 • Because year 1 had a lot of broken guns. Why u think bungie made em obsolete? Year 1 weapon balancing was awful with a bit of bright spots here and there. Year 2 weapons are for the most part balanced

 • True but I get annoyed with the endless grind to get things. I don't mind working for things but having to do endless repetitive stuff time and again to get better gear can get monotonous

 • Sorry I thought this was a different discussion.
