I know who I fight for. I fight for my Clan. And for My Clan Leader. He fights for dead orbit and that's enough reason for me to fight for them. Tis true that DO accepted Crucible Marks however to be out there scouting on the front lines you need skill. And that skill is best shown through combat amongst peers. The Cult is about war so it comes as no surprise they would wish for guardians to prove themselves in the Crucible however for what reason would a Monarchy gaurdian have for fighting others? No solution comes to mind. It would seem more like "spreading our name" is an excuse. If you truly helped the City wouldn't many know of you already?

  • Training is needed to prepare us to to push back the Darkness. While Future War Cult hordes supplies for their "Final War," and Dead Orbit steals resources so they can run, New Monarchy seeks to push back the Darkness and Reforge the Golden Age. If you fight for your clan leader, does HE truly know who he fights for? Again, we are entitled to our opinion.

Whilst FWC does indeed prepare for some form of 'final war', we do have the same end results in sight as New Monarchy. That is to push back the darkness and save this last city we call home. The reason we clash, in my opinion? Is because we see more importance in preparation of the impending doom that the Darkness threatens, where as NM seeks to find the perfect Monarch to rule. Don't get us wrong, we do need a leader more capable than The Speaker, but we need to focus on that after the Darkness has been, at least, suppressed. When I'm training in the Crucible, or on Patrol or running Strikes in the wild, I welcome a New Monarchy representative by my side. Dead Orbit, on the other hand, I'm never comfortable with. Most of them just want to look the part, the rest want to flee. Cowards.

  • I agree. I personally like Future War Cult over Dead Orbit, but they got their ideals by shocking their brains with unfounded Vex Tech.

  • Yes, I'm aware of the Vex machinery involved. Mistakes were made, we all make them from time to time. Right now, though, the Darkness is more of a problem.

But your leaders develop strategies based on what you think you saw. Maybe they saw the future, maybe it was a stress induced hallucination. Thats not a risk Im willing to take.

  • We fight to better ourselves. A guardian's light is strong, but learning how to understand your team's power makes us stronger still. Those guardians we fight against in the crucible? Just may be our allies at some point, so to fight them is to learn from them.
