This is what all mmo expansions do, this is nothing knew you fu[b]c[/b]king idiot. Nightfalls and heroic strikes are end game content and move with dlc and expansions. They are features of the game not just part of the original game. It moved up with TDB and HoW so why wouldn't it in TTK. You still have everything you did from y1 except those (and the daily mission). It you don't want to put up the cash for the new content you don't get to do certain things. OP is just an idiot who doesn't grasp expansions or progression. I bet you are one of those "all my y1 stuff is useless wtf bungie this is so stupid I worked so hard for my stuff!!" people.
