I understand what you're saying, but you're being unreasonable here. When you purchased the game, you purchased rights to the content that came with the original game. That content is still available to you. The Year 1 story, strikes (Vanguard Legacy playlist, plus in-map selection), PvP (basic playlists), and raids are still yours to use as you see fit. The fact that Bungie has reconfigured access to that content (no Nightfalls for non-TTK, no weekly Heroic strike) doesn't change the fact that you do, in fact, still have access to the content you paid for.
Your issue seems to come from frustration about being locked out of new content. Nightfall strikes, most strike playlists, and most PvP playlists/events are going to require TTK because you otherwise wouldn't have access to the new guns, new armor, new exotics, etc. that would make you able to compete. The reality is that, despite what we want, Bungie is a business. Businesses exist to make a profit. Their argument of limiting year two gear to people who purchased the year two content is valid and, honestly, they'd be stupid (from a profit standpoint) not to set it up that way. If people feel that their experiences in the game are just as good without the new content, why would they buy it? Bungie loses money that way which means no Destiny 2 or future content. Economics comes down to a company enticing you to give them your money in exchange for goods or services. This fits the bill perfectly and should not be considered any sort of legal issue or consumer-protection violation. Sorry man, your argument isn't valid.

The only issue I have is that when bungie releases a dlc they advertise things like Trials as content. But when a new dlc comes out the things that were called content are now defined as features.
-
True, I do understand that with Trials and Iron Banner. Those two are specific areas that doesn't completely jive with my logic. However, we should probably reserve judgment on Iron Banner until we see how they're going to handle that this time around. Honestly, the way I see those is that they are activities specifically created to give people access to end-game quality gear. Without the end-game content, why should you be eligible to receive end-game level gear?
-
Iron Banner does. It's an event, a monthly tournament if you would. Trials does not. BTW, thanks for spelling PAID correctly.

Yeah I agree with you about the end game content. I have a feeling most of the anger is probably coming from the feeling of being mislead. I don't think anyone who bought the HoW expected that the only "content" they were buying was PoE and a strike. Bungie could probably avoid that in the future if they clearly state what content will stay with the consumer regardless of future dlc purchases. That being said, I am really enjoying TTK. Feel like they really stepped up their game.

I completely agree, I'm loving it so far for sure. You're probably right about the feeling misled to some degree based on past bad experiences like House of Wolves (like you mentioned). I just don't feel like anyone was misled this time. I felt like they were very clear in what to expect this time around.

Clearly you might be stupid. He's not complaining about new content, he's complaining about being locked out of activities he w already had access to. Please learn to read
-
Again, if you read my full post, he still has access to the same content that he had before, it's just been reorganized now. Attempting to insult someone for not reading...yet not reading the reply. There's irony for you.

I said might be...
-
Yes, you did. I caught that because I read your response. Either way, saying someone might be stupid could easily be construed as an attempted insult, right?
-
Just trying to help. I'm a problem solver
-
Ummm, what problem were you solving exactly?
-
Thank you for writing this post. You have managed to make an argument in bungies favor, something I have been trying to do but lack the words to do so.
-
No problem man, I appreciate the feedback.

Get your logic and reason out of here!

Lol, I know, right? I'm just mucking things up for everyone!
