As someone else put it, you never really paid directly for nightfalls and weeklies. They are a part of the game that features the latest content. And if you don't buy the latest content, you can't play those modes.

  • When you bought the base game, it came with night falls and weeklies, to be locked out of these is to lose content. We aren't asking to be given TTK strikes, we want a separate NF playlist.

    Well Bungie has done this before. At one point in Halo 3, you couldn't play in ranked multiplayer playlists without all the DLC, which was available as one solid package with Halo 3 ODST. You could still play in un-ranked though. Pretty much the same circumstances, just with strike playlists instead of competitive multiplayer.
