It isn't about cost or affordability it is about what you think is acceptable nightfall/weekly strike have been a part of the game and playable even for vanilla players up until now if you had bought those strikes. Now bungie have made the decision to remove anything from vanguard retailers to allow players to be able to reach a level where we can play content which we own. In previous dlc you had to do raids to get max level which is fair, same with most of the best guns being raid weapons which again is fair and nobody has a complaint about a particular set of paid guns being locked within a dlc. That's the whole point of dlc and encouraging people to spend on dlc but to completely cut people off from any way of getting to a level where you can play a weekly strike unless you pay £40 is the problem. If people want to encourage that practice fair play. So what if destiny 2 comes out and 3 months later an expansion comes out with the same price point and same restrictions? You think it's good that you basically pay bungie retail price for a game that is obsolete in a few months?

  • Weekly/nightfall was not available to you in the past if you did not have the dlc. With ttk, weeklys and nightfalls are different than they have ever been before. You have never been able to do a daily/weekly/nightfall if you did not have the appropriate dlc. Now you want to have access to those events without having the corresponding dlc? That doesn't make sense. Everything this week requires that you have the dlc to do it... If destiny is moving forward with new levels weapons and gear that has never been in the game, why do they have to cater to you (or others without the dlc) to do so? There is a vanguard strike playlist for the people who do not have the dlc. There is also a crucible playlist for people who do not have the dlc. If you want to go do strikes that you have already done time and time again then go ahead and hit up the vanguard strikes. If you are wanting to level up and do strikes that you have not done in the past then you should get ttk. In no way should bungie cater to you because you do not have the current version of destiny essentially. You act as if you can't play the game anymore... In the past, if you did not have access to a particular dlc then you could not do certain things... Not sure why you are expecting something different this time around.

  • That's a lie up until this dlc vanguard vendors sold gear that was 1 level below raid gear and enabled you tondo weekly/nightfall strikes. Bungie have now taken the decision to exclude all those people that bought the previous dlc from doing those without a further £40 investment.
