That's new content though.
You haven't lost your old gear, eh?

Edited by Intron: 9/16/2015 3:56:06 AMVendors is not new always been arround and there was never a lock on gear. Each dlc that came out every one could pick up the new gear reguardless of owning the dlc or not.. Technically you can from the crucible vendor.. You just can't can't obtain marks to do so. So the change to the actual engine and mechanics of marks means a move to a currency that is now almost impossible to obtain if you don't get the latest dlc were as before vanilla destiny players could carry on playing their same content and obtain marks in pvp or vanguard strikes to gain marks.

Edited by Blanks: 9/16/2015 4:01:51 AMIt's new gear though. New content, It's like saying that you should be able to buy everything at the reef without HoW cuz the vendors are there. Also, just because Bungie does x one time doesn't mean it won't be y the next. We have all learned that by now. The whole formula gets changed every DLC

No its not... The crucible vendor always supplied crucible gear to any one who had the game and played crucible.... That is no longer the case... He now does nothing other than tell you to buy TTK.

You know, you also gain that gear through drops. Vendors I get, but you still get that gear.

Edited by Intron: 9/16/2015 4:23:49 AMCorrect but your now unable to obtain that gear as classic doesn't drop any new tire items and vanguard has been set to basic level 20 and doesn't drop any gear above a level 20 so you can't actually play anything to get the drops unless you own TTK.... Where are before crucible always dropped new items I never had TDB but picked up a saterine rapier as one of my first weapons and it was awesome I loved it but that came in with TDB.
