Destiny 2.0.0 PVP Weapon Preference Survey (The results are in!)

Here's the data I collected from over 1500 Guardians on the opinions and usage after the 2.0.0 update! A lot more data was collected than what I'm showcasing here. I've made all of the data available so anyone can view or use it now or in the future. You can access it here: Destiny 2.0.0 PVP Weapon Update Survey (Google Docs) Top Primary Weapon Type (Legendary & Exotic) Pulse Rifle 38.42% Auto Rifle 25.93% Scout Rifle 17.92% Hand Cannon 12.18% Other 5.54% Top Primary Weapon Usage (Legendary only) - Does not equal to 100% due to Exotics Pulse Rifle 20.77% Auto Rifle 6.02% Scout Rifle 5.16% Hand Cannon 2.51% Top Special Weapon Type (Legendary & Exotic) Shotgun 46.52% Sniper Rifle 42.49% Fusion Rifle 10.99% Exotic Slot Used (Estimated) Primary 62.29% Heavy 24.89% Special 12.82% Favorite Subclass Hunter - Gunslinger 31.51% Warlock - Voidwalker 21.79% Titan - Striker 17.07% Hunter - Bladedancer 14.30% Warlock - Sunsinger 9.58% Titan - Defender 5.74% Most Anticipated Subclass Titan - Sunbreaker 39.43% Hunter - Nightstalker 37.60% Warlock - Stormcaller 22.97% 2.0.0 Update Opinion My build changed, but I'm excited to try something else out! • Cool stats. I'm a PvP player almost exclusively and so far each weapon I've weilded has been victorious if used in the right setting. For example; Bad Juju is a fan favorite atm and the equivalent would be a HRoF assault for the same range and dmg output. The next bug culprit is messenger, but the MIDA literally debunks its precision so they IMO are equals. Shotguns are still rampant because we all come from that PvP background, but in reality the sniper is th best choice for a skilled hand. HC'd got a serious debuff. Yet, I've been able to achieve 10+ kills no deaths with those as well. If you haven't been crushed by Omolans's new fusion you haven't been playing well versed opponents, universal remote is the new shotgun of choice (I use and can vouche for it), Red Death is a multikill machine. Honestly, this was for the best for destiny and those who cannot adapt and overcome will complain endlessly. Those who take the time to dedicate themselves are going to be rewarded for their efforts. I'm so tired of seeing top 50% comment and complain without truly submersing themeselves into the new meta or the prior and still expecting to be the best. Over and above all map knowledge is key to success, you gotta know th battle lines and switch weapons accordingly. If you do not abide by this practice you will be left with a blistering boil on that a$$ of your guardian. Give it time, for new metas to emerge it takes months of stats to prove or disprove anything so for the time being just enjoy TTK and this very welcomed approach to year 2 for Destiny and it's 10 year plan.
