The past week had been hell, but Leon and Artemis prevailed through the Darkness, Falling Dredgen Yor. With no time to recover or rest, the new threat arose and they found themselves in the Court of Orxy. The girl looked over to her partner. "Here we are." <open to Leon.>

          • "Cabal. Why is it always CABAL?" Ax yells, creating a chain gun from his one Exo arm. "Am I right Dew?" Dew, his dog, was too busy tearing the innards out of a phalanx to hear him. All of a sudden, a bellowing cry was heard from the depths of the fortress. The cabal retreat with all deliberate speed, not firing a shot as they ran. "What was that Dewie?" He asks the dog. (Open)

Rto15 wakes In the middle of the jungle in Venus. He was just on a patrol when he was captured by vex and thrown into the jungle to die. He starts to move out of the jungle but finds something strange, a vex time gate. "Ghost, could you give me an idea of what this will do to me if I walk into it?" "If you insist." Replies my ghost. "The best thing that could happen is you could get out of the jungle. On the other hand, your body could get torn to shreds and lost at the edge of time. So... Your call." "Eh" I say "After thinking about this for a whole 3 seconds, I can confirm that I will absolutely not be safe. So I'm going in!" "WAIT!" Cries my ghost "THIS LEADS RIG..." I teleported to the black garden. "...ht to a full scale cabal assault on the garden..." "So, when we're you planning to tell this to me ghost?" I replied. "There is a cave up ahead with two other guardians in it. We can meet up with them and try to find away out of here." I started running towards the cave and saw the guardians. I waved but got no response. "Hello?" I spoke into the cave. There was something strange about these two... Suddenly they lash out at me! Guns blazing I run deeper into the cave. "GHOST! PUT ME ON A LINK FOR THE TOWER! I NEED BACKUP IN THE GARDEN NOW. TWO ROUGE GUARDIANS ARE WAITING OUT A BATTLE AND TRYING, to take it lightly, TEAR OUT MY FLESH AND BRAINS, TURN THEM INTO AMMO AND EAT THEM. So, there super cool and all BUT PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!" "Message sent to the tower. I will be notified when I get a response" Chimed Ghost. I turned and fired my shadow shot. Nothing killed just tethered. "That should hold them for now." Open for one

Caleb crept over the side of the snowy ridge, and scanned below him, his Helm of Saint-14 glowing pink faintly in the snow that was slowly falling. He felt like he needed a bit of fresh air, so he took of his helm. His brown, spiky hair fell into its original state, so that it looked identical to Sora's, and his blue eyes narrowed at the valley below him. He had been searching for weeks, scrounging every cache in the Himalayan mountain range, but Zavala's lost relic. He had kept it secret, tasking only Caleb with its safe return, but Caleb had no luck. His search had led him to this ridge in the Himalayan mountains, where Caleb sat perched above a small Fallen encampment. He grimaced. "Its gotta be here, we've checked all the other markers." Caleb's ghost materialized next to him. "If its not here, what do we do master?" Caleb grimaced again, and didn't even have to think about his response. "Then we tell him it's lost." His ghost seemed uneasy, but turned his attention back to the encampment. "So, master, how do we go about this?" "Would be easier if I had brought my sniper," Caleb mumbled, "But I don't see any other possibility besides sneaking around. Can't risk an all-out attack being ountimbered about 50 to 1." His ghost, looked down at the encampment, then back at Caleb. "Maybe we should rest a bit, sir, before trying. I'm quite tired, and I'm only machinery." Caleb thought for a second, then stood upright. "I suppose so. Ghost, sleeping bag please." The sleeping bag materialized next to him, and in a matter of minutes, Caleb had found a nice cave in the mountainside, amd settled down with a small fire. "Maybe we'll get reinforcements from Zavala?" "I doubt that," Caleb answered, "But I can ask. Ghost, open private, untraceable comms link to Zavala, please." The Ghost did as he was told, and Caleb requested to Zavala," Commander Zavala, we're in the last possible relic location, but there are a lot of Fallen down there. Request for backup ASAP." "I'll see what I can do, but I will only be able to manage a single guardian. I don't want this mission blowing up." "One more is all we need," Caleb responded. "Affirmative. Zavala out." Caleb relaxed back into his sleeping bag, and shut his eyes. "Did Zavala ever mention what this relic was for?" Caleb responded to his ghost quietly," No, but I am loyal to the Vanguard. What Zavala asks, I shall accomplish." "Very well sir." And with that, Caleb drifted off into dreams. OPEN

                      • Artemis, a renounced huntress, leaned against the wall of her perch which lay in one of the many abandoned buildings of Venus. Her ghost' voice rung through her heads up display, his tone urgent. "Uhm, red, you might want to check out this message Ikora just sent out."He offered, the girls attention immediately perking. The mechanical companion relayed the transmission and the warlock quartermaster broke through the silence. "Guardians, we've reports of a broken transmission resonating from the Vault of Glass. The message seems to have sourced from our warlock Praedyth---"Ikoras voice was tuned out, the huntress freezing. It was impossible. No one escaped the void. Well...until now. After all guardians make their own fate. "Tell Ikora I'm on it, and patch me that relay transmission."She ordered, pushing herself from the perch and racing towards the vault. If praedyth escaped back to this timeline perhaps Aries did as well... (Open to anyone on Venus)

                            • Vuuuuummm... Beowulf cruised his skiff through the Awoken carnage, surveying the debris and death that surrounded him. He smirked beneath his Ether mask. Oryx knew what he was doing. It was honestly a shame that he was dead. But with his downfall rose new opportunities. Namely, the Taken. He had spent ten years in that pit. Ten years spent mastering the Hive's rituals so that he might survive. Ten years so that he might see the light of day again. Those ten years opened doors which would have remained closed to him forever. He should thank the King's Baron. But... It would be more fun to leave him to Al'ruuk. Watch him tear the Baron to pieces. He had one objective— find the remnants of Oryx's blade, take a piece, and run. The skiff arrived at the drop point. The hatch opened, and he and his crew of five Vandals and two Tracers fell to the ground. Time to find that portal. OPEN

Humter-0 approaches the dreadnaught, prepared. His ship lands safely, but his is attacked by a group of Hive when he exits. They are all quickly dispatched. He then makes his way to the court of Oryx, and sends out a signal to every single guardian. "I am proceeding to kill Lokaar. I will wait three hours for anyone who wishes to join me. Come prepared. Loot will be split, but there is something I need from the wizard" The wait ends, alone. He turns to the s tatue, and activates it, running for cover immediately after, taking cover behind a rock he pushes into a corner. He uses a Häkke sniper rifle and the Dead Orbit scout rifle. Lokaar's health is slowly, but surely shrinking, and adds dying quickly. Attacks hit the rock the majority of the time. After a while, he feels a force attempt to consume him. He quickly does an emergency exit to his ship. When he looks at himself, he sees black wisps coming from him. The Taken had control over his vex implants.
closed.
(Sorry roleplayers! I'm kind of self advertising something, feel free to skip this.
I've been thinking about starting a blog and creating stories on Destiny, based a little in the future. I want to create a bunch of small stories on different main characters, before bringing them all together in something bigger. But before any of that, I figured I should discover what the community thinks. Then I figured, why not try and see if other writers would enjoy it. Please, anyone, read and leave some feedback, and let me know if I should actually do this story. I'll keep you all posted in return.) "So what you're saying is...I could beat him...but if I just take off his cloak first?" A hunter spoke, exhausted, the Vanguard armor worn dented along the metal and torn through most of the fabric. The only thing that stood out was the thick, crimson fabric wrapped around his neck and draped down his back. It was incomplete, but one could barely make out the insignia of a well known fallen house in white. Along with the scout was a scarlet ghost, it's cherry lit eye giving what seemed to be an annoyed glare. "No, I said tearing his cloak was a wound to his pride, not to him. There's no way you could beat the Kell of Devils by yourself. I told you to go back to orbit! Now we're stuck with no signal for a sparrow, no connection to the Tower, no shield, and you dropped your gun in the fall...ugh. You know, that gun meant something to your mother." The ghost scolded the young man clad in guardian gear. He paused, blinking his eyes from behind his visor. The hunter looked around for a moment after, turning away from his angry ghost to take in his surroundings. Not much but snow, a lot of destroyed, abandoned buildings and a bunch of fallen planes. Relics of a golden age that he never experienced. The Cryptarchs and the Warlock Vanguard representative both wanted to teach him things of history, of a better time. But he'd rather think of grounded airplanes as a place for shelter rather than a graveyard for people who were on board them, trapped until they fell to their deaths. He was a Hunter. Knowing the lore and stories of his environment wasn't what he was fit for. All of that was just the environment to him. Beckoning for his ghost to follow, the Hunter ducked down and turned to enter a hull breach in one of the planes. Best to be out of the cold while they formed a plan. Once inside, he just sat down, plopping onto the floor and leaning his back against the plane, raising his knees a bit in case he ever had to stand up quickly. He took off his helmet to reveal dark brown hair and green eyes, his skin white and fair - though darkened slightly by a thin scar that stretched down diagonally on his cheek. His features gave away his age, one look at him showing that he couldn't be a year over twenty. Around the Tower he wasn't a new face, as he had grown up there, however to the forces of darkness he was new. He'd only been a Vanguard registered guardian for two months, not even enough time to harness his solar light into the popular Golden Gun technique, or harness arc in his daggers without shorting out his helmet display and sending his ghost into a near seizured state. His name his Aleksander Holliday, child to the renowned former shipwright and the new representative for Hunters in the Vanguard, Nicholas. No last name from his father, as was the case with many original guardians. "Hey, I was only joking. But still, I didn't know he would be that strong. The Vandal I was hunting was getting away, and it would be a horrible start for my first patrol session if I let a mark escape. I didn't WANT to board that ship-" "But you did-" "Yes, I did..." He spoke, interrupting the Ghost that cut him off first, raising his hand after, a gesture that silently asked his Ghost to calm down and let him speak. "Because I felt I needed to. That Vandal was hurting a lot of guardians in the Cosmodrome. I didn't expect that ship to take us to a base in Britain. I wanted to get on, put an end to the thing and then transmat home. I didn't expect to get pulled out the entire signal zone so fast. I'm sorry. As for the Kell...well, I didn't expect that either. I mean, he's been hiding out in old Britain all along? In some random building? Nobody could have known. Didn't expect him to be so tough either, so I'm sorry for fighting him too. I was unconscious by the time I was knocked out that window, so naturally I dropped the gun, so um...look. I'm just sorry for all of that, okay?" He spoke up, green eyes meeting one electronic red "eye" that seemed a lot less angry. "Alright Alek. Let's just keep moving before we freeze out here, I'm sure that the vanguard is searching for us already, tracking out light. I think we can-...wait. Fallen. Low class devils roaming outside. They're...hunting us?" The ghost added, a bit of surprise and concern in his voice. No shields, torn up armor with a broken helmet display, and no gun. Hunters of old only needed a Golden Gun and fair aim to survive before the city, but Aleksander couldn't control that yet. They only had a minuscule amount of light to use without the eyes of the traveler upon them anyways. "Do you think you can give me enough light for a Golden Gun? Or arc?" Alek asked silently, rolling over into a crouch as he peeked outside the hull breach to find a vandal and two dregs out in the distance. Their backs were turned, but one mistake and that could change for the worse. "Golden Gun is lost on you right now, and given your armor and our condition...I think you'd kill us before the fallen if you tried the Arc Blade technique. There is your...minuscule technique, but I've seen it kill a few dregs. Maybe it'll work on a Vandal?" The advice was given, and Aleksander jumped on it. He pounded the inner side of his elbow a few times, before a foot long blade slid from a compartment on top of his forearm. Just long enough to channel some solar light. Footsteps near silently crunched the snow beneath him as he exited the hull of the plane, sneaking up on the fallen ahead. He needed to be in range for his technique. A few yards would do. He would love to run in, but with no shields he'd be more worried about arc wounds from wire rifles and Dreg pistols than the cold. A cold sweat broke on him from the tension, his arm hesitantly raising to give his ghost its cue. He was close enough to hear the fallen chatter...it was time. The sounds of solar light forming alerted the fallen, and they turned to see the Hunter with flames surrounding the tip of his arm blade. Breath hitched before teeth clenched, and Aleksander swiped his arm horizontally, three solar blasts being fired simultaneously at the Fallen before they could fully ready their weapons. The dregs disintegrated as the light consumed their darkness, though the Vandal let out a hellish roar in retaliation, its body blazing, even crackling under the heat on some parts, but it didn't hinder the alien in raising its weapon. A blue light began to glare, Aleksander ducked and crossed his arms in front of him, shutting his eyes. The sound of a laser leaving a bolt chamber was made, and the Hunter fully expected to feel arc tear through his body. Instead...the fallen fell into the snow, dead, a hole through its chest from obvious arc energy. Looking over to his ghost, Aleksander saw its glowing red light dim once again, the laser being hidden back in its tiny body as it briefly rotated its core. "Ah...thanks buddy." The hunter said, voice a bit shaky from what he expected to happen earlier. He stood on his feet, being met with a brief "don't mention it" from his Ghost before it went to examine the remains of the Vandal. "So...one good news and two bad news. Bad news is we only have enough light to, well...survive. There's nothing here for any other function. Good news is, we can leave the same way these guys got here. Fallen teleporter. Other bad news...we will have to teleport into one of their...bases. Your choice on where we go. I think they're all pretty bad, in my opinion.." The last sentence from his Ghost came with a grumpy voice that brought a laugh from the Hunter. "I think that since we've been blown out of a relic skyscraper by the Kell of Devils, we've been through the worst already. Cosmodrome, Earth. Old Russia. Chances are we'll run into some other guardians anyways, and we have a transmat zone there. Plus, I know the territory." Alek spoke, a smile forming on his lips to reassure his companion. "I don't know about this...you sure we can't wait for the Vanguard to find us, I'm sure-" "You want to freeze? Ghosts can freeze too." Alek interrupted, a smirk on his lips. "No..." It mumbled in a grumpy manner, working the fallen tech. As a blue light began to envelop them, Alek looked on. The sun was beginning to set over the Horizon in Britain. The light flooded the abandoned streets and reflected almost beautifully on broken windows on the surrounding buildings. As he was transported, it gave a hope that the Vanguard was always going on about. That one day, Humanity will reclaim Earth.
Sitting atop the bridge connected to the rocket in the comsodrome, Layf sits, feet dangling over the ledge. Eyes staring into the endless sky above, his mind wanders. "How the hell did everything turn to this?" His gaze lowers to the horizon, the tower in the distance. "Guardians... the concept is absurd. Incredibly powerful beings brought back from the dead to save the world." He scoffs at the idea. "And yet here I sit, this is life now... I wonder what life was like before the collapse... Simpler I'm sure." Layf's ears perk up to the sound of distant footsteps getting closer. Calm, rhythmic footsteps not indicating any threat. He waited patiently as the footsteps reached a close, but not too close distance. Without turning his gaze from the horizon he greets the stranger. "You're not very stealthy you know." His tone hinting at a smirk behind his helmet.
My grammar is far from perfect so bear with me. Also is there an easy way to find someone's character profile?
"You're running out of ammo." The Ghost says, and his Exo sighs. "Does it sound-" Gunfire erupts. "-like these Cabal give a damn? And do you think I give a damn?" More gunfire. Another Cabal ship passes overhead, dropping more reinforcements. A Colossus drops onto the battlefield, making Kairos swear. "Open a channel to the Vanguard, as well as Shaxx. Old bastard owes me a few favors." The Ghost does as Kairos asks, the firefight continuing. Suddenly, the Pulse Rifle in the Titan's hand's clicks. No ammo. He ducks behind cover, pulling out his favorite rifle. The Queen may be missing, but her memory lives on through each bullet fired from The Supremacy given to Kairos. "Zavala, I need another Guardian out here! I'm too low on ammo to punch through this part of the Exclusion Zone! Dammit Zavala, I'm not built for suicide missions, and you know that's what this is!" Kairos says, before the channel cuts out. "It was cut on their end." The Ghost points out. A Legionnaire jumps over the rock Kairos is using as cover, landing behind him. Kairos drops his rifle, fists crackling with void energy. "You want some? Come get it." He grows, and the Legionnaire swings a fist at him. Kairos ducks under his swing, plants a Magnetic grenade on the chest of the Cabal, kicking off the soldier's chest. The grenade goes off, and Kairos turns, looking desperately around the valley for some help. Off in the distance, he sees a shadow. "Friendly in the zone. Repeat, friendly in the combat zone. I'll try and get their attention." His Ghost says.
Currently open.
