Honestly I wouldn't bother making tea. I tried it once and it is much more efficient to just get the powder down by itself. Easiest and cheapest way to do it without yakking is buying it in capsules or buying it in bulk powder, which is cheaper, and capsulize it yourself. That's what I do. Best quality is online, but you can find it at headshops. Just be very wary of the brand, do some research on it. Some headshop Kratom is garbage. Remarkable Herbs is what I get. Online quality and price, from a headshop in town. But I live in FL, not sure what is available out there.
