Life after the Hopscotch Pilgrim...

...seemed hopeless. Okay, okay, maybe not hopeless! But I'll be damned if I didn't feel a bit slighted at first. I thought "What the hell? Why nerf just this gun while the Messenger, which has very nearly identical stats, remains unchanged!!! I got pissed. Posted about it. Felt bitter. Raged. But none of that matters anymore. It's all behind me now. Because I'm in love all over again!!! Skorri! How, oh how did I not see the Light before?!? I shall be the instrument and you shall have your sweet, sweet Revenge!!! Sign if you love Skorri's Revenge. Comment if you want to compare builds (mine's on my Titan!) or have found solace elsewhere after mourning your own Hopscotch Pilgrim.

The HP is still very good, and I continue to use it and like it for what it is now. What is unforgivable to me, and what the bigger problem is that most unintelligent people fail to grasp, are the implications of what they did and the entire conception of the original HP. They used it as bait, and they played so many people for fools with this weapon. They depreciated millions of motes of light and millions of hours of time, all the while inflating their reported hours with that player time. They committed, in front of everybody, to the idea that they don't value anything you do in this game, and that they will gladly manipulate their own patrons; knowing that most are not very smart, undiscerning, and have very little cognitive ability. Bungie knows they can be as abusive as they need to be to push minimal content for a premium price, and whatever is left of their supporters wont have the confidence or self esteem to demand reformation. I received mine on the first day, so I didn't get nearly the worst of it. I feel bad for those who put in more time, only to have Bungie discredit all of it. For the vast majority of people who play this game, Bungie is playing them more than those players will ever be able to play Destiny. And, honestly, I'm ok with it: there are great people I have come across in this game, but as a whole, these players are the most degenerative human beings I've been exposed to as a consumer demographic, and Destiny is the game they deserve. I'm not apologetic for being severe, these or just inconsequential observations of a gross mishandling of patrons by a company, and one that any other industry would kill to be able to commit. It's an interesting study. I still play with friends, and I enjoy the game in small amounts, but I am not delusional to think that Destiny is a "good" game... It's just something to enjoy as what it is until better things come along. TL;DR.... No doubt, for most of you.
