EverQuest.
Nothing else has ever captivated me like it. Played for over 7 years+. No other game has caused more people to loose their jobs, cause students to get kicked outta colleges, and break up marriages than any game that has been released since.
Bring on EverQuest Next already!!!!

Yup. I started right before Kunark was released and played pretty much everyday for 5+ years. I still think about it and all the fun I had playing it. Played on dial up with a 28k modem. Used to get knocked off when the phone rang. Lol. But I could never go back to an MMO like that. I t was like crack. Had a 65 Ranger and 65 Shaman. So much fun.

Had a 65 beastlord and 65 shadow knight. The beastlord was a ogre anf his name was Aiptek, taken from a pen camera... The shadow knights name was Kerrigan Ner'zhul, taken from my two favorite RTSs, StarCraft and Warcraft. The players selling accounts didn't bother me. It was the SoL expansion that ruined it for me.

They did everquest 2. And maybe a year back? They released vanillaish everquest servers, that were a huge hit among people who still played.

Yeah I played EQ2 for a bit. It was OK. And the servers your talking about are called EverQuest 1999 servers.

I don't know lol I'm never going back. And that goes for wow. They both can die in peace. They at one point were fantastic games but were ruined by player base or stupid and shit expansions.

I stopped when people started selling accounts and in-game items for real money. Ruined the economy.
