Stephenson dashes for the nearest fire escape and follows her, struggling to keep up.

*You have lost sight of her, but her voice drifts down from above* "You might want to stay on the ground to keep the trailers busy. There are 2 of them. I'll take care of the ambush up ahead."

[i]Gotcha.[/i] He checks his pistol before tucking it back into his vest. The first thug to come around the corner receives a right hook to his jaw that shatters his teeth.

*The thug falls down stunned as the next thug charges around the corner*

Stephenson hauls back and hits the next attacker in the belly, stomping down on his leg and pinning him to the ground. [i]Who sent you?[/i]

"Ask. *He spits at you* your friend." *He looks up at you* "The boss doesn't like deserters."

Stephenson obliges the spitter by pistol-whipping him and leaving the two for the CPD to find. [i]Shiroe, come down here. We need to talk.[/i]

"The ambush is taken care of." *Her voice comes from the sidewalk, but it's the flatlined robotic voice* "Want details?"

[i]No. I need to talk to YOU. Not robot you.[/i]

*You hear a slight catch of breath, then Shiroe stumbles into the alleyway, blood covering her arms and her legs* "Fifteen....dead. 5 I don't know." *She promptly pukes to the side*

Stephenson stares at her. [i]Look. We need to find a way around this, Shiroe. If you think that what's going on now is bad, just think about how I used to be. Back when I was Crane. That was a dark road, and you're already on it. So what can I do to help you?[/i]

"Try blasting me with an EMP. It might work this time. The nanobots are in me to stay, I can't get rid of them." *She wipes her mouth with her sleeve* "Trust me, we tried."
