To the idiots who say grimoire is only ghosts...
Let me clear up the grimoire=dead ghosts claim.
Ghost account for about 5 grimoire each. Some Ghosts count for 10 or 15 though.
There are 77 dead ghosts.
77x5=385. Let's just round that up to approximately 550. Fair enough?
Only 550 score out of a possible 3620 (xb) or 3665 (ps) can be given to you by finding dead ghosts. While that is a substantial gain, it is not the key factor for a high grimoire.
You say Grimoire doesn't show skill? Let me brake it down.
Where did the other 3,000 points come from? It shows you have played a variety of PvE and PvP content, and that you have done them [u]multiple[/u] times. It shows commitment to the game. Whether that is a good or bad thing is up for debate.
Now, grimoire means, for the most part, [u]experience[/u]. You do not need a high grimoire score to be good. You can have a natural talent at the game.
But:
talent+experience=skill
When talent is refined with experience, that makes a player skilled.

That is why grimoire, to me, means skill.
[b]Usually[/b] anyway. I will play with anyone, it doesn't matter to me. But, I will prefer people who have a higher score. I feel I can trust them to know what is going on.

The hunt for maximum Grimoire is the biggest grind this game has to offer. And I respect everyone who did it far more than players with a high K/D or anything else.

1 ReplyIt really depends on why people play. Some people go for the highest score. The reason why I use "ghosts: is a symbol of those that look up tips on line, watch videos and grind purposely for each card. Truth is anyone who tries can get a high score. My reason for playing is the thrill, the action of the game. Get my heart pumping and my adrenalin going. If an activity feels like work I don;t do it.

Yep, I 100 percent agree with you. high grim is def a display of time invested which usually means your decent to good player. However low grim doesn't mean your bad, for example there are some sleepers that play cod all day that are just on fire in first person shooters

If you have a high grimoire score it shows that you have taken the time to complete all of the achievements, people are correct when they say it doesn't make you a better player, however I will say this there is NO skill in any subject that isn't improved by practice. Yes some of the score is for finding hidden objects and to some this is a mundane task, some is for killing enemies - here comes the practice some is for obtaining certain weapons - harder activities therefore more practice. So yes you are correct it doesnt mean a player is a better shot, however it shows the player has played lots and therefore has practiced lots and experienced most if not all of the content depending on the grimoire score. I for one recognise the accomplishment of those players with maxed grimoire scores for they have achieved something not many in the game have!! Only lazy players whine and say it doesnt mean anything. If you truely do not care to do it you probably wont whine either because its irrelevent to you. So lazy ass players stop whining!

True but without even trying anyone whose been here since day one can obtain a score of 3100 or so. Anything higher than that is by collecting ghosts.

6 RepliesMy bank account shows skills, not some number on a video game. It's sad that elitist in this game always need to find something to make themselves feel special. Who cares what your gridmore is, just play the game for the enjoyment. If someone doesn't want to waste an hour or two hunting ghost, more power to them. I am not going to judge.

My reply: "You have 2355 grimoire I have 3795 (before the blackgarden ghost was found..) But I am bad at the game plz tell me more?" He then replied with "Grimoire only means you got the ghosts doesn't make you good" Turns out this kid only won 30 control matches and 5 clash.... YOU NEED SKILL TO WIN RUMBLE AND SKIRMISH ETC. To all the kids saying "oh grimoire takes no skill... $5 %80 you changed character when you saw 3600+ grimoire team.

Yep me too ,, I had a grimoire of 3200 , which was ok ,,, had never bothered with ghosts at all til I got bored one day , spent a couple of hours ghost hunting now I have just over half the ghosts my grimoire went up 285 points but it's really only ghosts and a few crucible ones I need I would say any grimoire of over 3000 was decent up until the taken king comes out , I still find myself in games with folk who haven't even done a vault of glass , also a lot of times if u watch the scoreboard in crucible the high grimoire players usually have the best scores

It's completely random, I've players with high grimoire score act like complete f[u][/u]uck heads and die alot, then the 2800 grimoire score guy actually has a brain.

There are 86 dead ghosts and it's approximately 620 grimoire score
