Laurea Prima = Fireteam
So recently i heard some rather disturbing facts. 23% of people on these forums have beaten Crota's on hard.
This leaves a staggering 77% of people who i would not feel comfortable gaming with for end game content.
Not to mention those who haven't downed Skolas
I've been labeled an elitists before and probably will be labeled the same again but I'd rather winners had my back as opposed to well... Losers.
Therefore Laurea Prima will be my gold standard for this year.

Edit: I've had many the conversation about how people have dropped Skolas and they wonder if that qualifies. In my eyes yes. Skolas is the most recent test of skill and therefore a good measurement.
Edit: You don't have to wear the badge to be Fireteam material. Just have it.
Edit: According to all those out there who "just dont care" to fight the bosses. In your world Skolas breaks free. Crota destroys the Earth, or Atheon rips the timeline in half. Why even play then?
Edit: This is not directed at those just picking up the game, as pointed out in the post, I'm disappointed by Year Ones and the general lack of motivation.

34 RepliesI disagree. The only reason that I haven't downed Skolas is that due to my 'real life', I have neither the time or motivation to spend 3 to 4 hours going through a mission with terrible rewards to earn a bland emblem. And you call me a loser? Get a life nerd.

I disagree as well. Now I am proud of getting it but by no means is it a badge of skill. All it means to me is that I had a good first year playing with an amazing group of friends to play with.

I can actually agree with this requirement to an extent. These activities require that there was at least some teamwork and communication. However you have to admit there are some really good players that haven't done these activities.

2 RepliesI sort of agree w you. On one hand, they might not have been able to complete those events. On the other hand, they might have chosen not to, for lack of any real reason. Not all good pve'ers might have bothered, believe it or not. Like people who picked up the game at HoW and didn't bother breaking their balls for gear soon to be trash bin'ed. There's two sides to it. Couldn't complete, and couldn't care too. Having the LP emblem logically states that a person cared enough to run them AND was good enough to do so. But not having it doesn't state a negative on the "good enough to do so" part of that logic statement. Some people did vog, crota and skolas. And they couldn't be bothered w chests or ghosts or public events or whatever none sense was part of MoT for the emblem. Just saying. I wouldn't rule out any one due to lack of the LP emblem.

crota hard is ridiculously easy now you cant be 33+, i got all my crota hard weapons + nechro before HoW dropped, and there was always that one dude that got killed by the boomers or someone who would run down to the middle instead of ogre room...

6 RepliesNot sure if you're trolling or not, because I'm a beta player that took 8 months off when AW came out and I still have: Higher Grimoire than you Higher Medal score than you 139 hours played more than you And I don't have TDB yet. All my moments of triumph have been completed a long time ago with the 2 crota ones being the exception.

So they ask me " oh dude help us kill skolas we need to complete this and i say " , listen I like you guys but I don't want to spend 3 hours killing skolas " when they tell me why 3 hours , dude I completed skolas in one hour yesterday , and I'm thinking to myself , I'm going to regret this I just know it , well ... It's Saturday night and I don't have to work Sunday so I say okay fine lets go kill him ,when I see their unleveled gjallarhorn and Normal primaries and 100% strength builds and using voidwalker so when I asked them why they don't change their gear for something with more intellect ? Their respond " because we want to kill skolas with style and we don't like those other gears since their ugly , we look sexy like this " I'm already thinking this is going to take longer than one hour ... ... Well now.. How long did it took ...? ... ..... 6 Blasted Hours!!!!! If you check my stats for my last skolas activity you will see how bad it got ... Ugh yeah I'm sick of "helping " people that don't know what the hell they are doing ... -whispers to myself - should have stick with the crucible ...
