The Ahamkara were space dragons that granted promises and gifted knowledge. They were creatures of the Void, able to change their shape at will; some looked more bird-like, but others were more serpent-like. They have a strong egotistical effect on people. But they were deemed too dangerous by the City and supposedly hunted to extinction. However, I have two reasons as to why I think they aren't extinct: a) the narrator of the Grimoire card that speaks of the Great Ahamkara Hunt uses the phrase "oh reader mine," which is very similar to the flavor texts on Ahamkara armor; and b), the bones on Young Ahamkara's Spine actually move when inspected (on Xbone and PS4).
