If it doesn't carry over for most of them, then I will admit that my opinion was based on a bad assumption. However, I still think that parental guidance can be a factor. I didn't have online gaming, and my competitive attitude was able to be viewed in plain site by adults. If I acted out, or was disrespectful, I was met with consequences.

  • I think that last part was important. I was subject to great parenting so outside of sports and gaming I'm very respectful. Growing up, I didn't have parents watching me game so there was no one to check the trash talk. That behavior probably was allowed to form there and fortunately it doesn't go into anything other than sports.

  • With that being said, I won't whine about it. It's one of those "it is what it is" situations. It's not something that will make me rage quit. My usual attitude is: "Oh, you wanna teabag me, huh?" Seeks out teabagger, kills teabagger, dances.
