The 4th halo garnered inspiration from halo reach....a bungie title....that introduced armor abilities. Halo 4 tried going a route to change even further
which backlashed, and ontop of this there was no ranked mode providing even less incentive to continue for players who always try to master their rank
, but the drastic changes began in reach. Bungie made 3 masterpieces, is what a trilogy fan would say. Reach and 4 are controversial to the community, some hate reach more than 4 and 4 more than reach or both equally. Honestly though...each Halo is controversial....even halo ce to halo 2 not everyone was in agreement with. Halo 2 brought in the reign of the BR, and truthfully slayer starts kinda sucked ass this whole entire time...especially because of dual weilding... Bungie has been raped by Activision in todays world. When asked to jump, they ask how high. When asked to steal from their own community by selling them a incomplete game...well...that's in the history books now. 343 also had a mishap with mcc, but with data to why it was a mishap. 5 seperate game studios working on 5 seperate game engines and 343 there trying to piece it together and rush it out for dad (microsoft) = launch disaster. Buying a broken game is hard to justify, and impossible to. But it got fixed at least. Buying an incomplete game is even worse. Meanwhile, bungie didn't give you the rest of destiny free. No, you have to pay for that. Your continued donations are required. But that's ok right? You've got people saying steak costs more....when that's not even the point of the damn argument over it smh As for 343, they had 1 shot at a halo game so far with blueprints set by reach undesired for halo in certain ways, but in others also added to halo as well. For me, each halo has brought change, some good some bad and some more than others for each title. Halo 2 brought stuff like dual weilds and weapons...especially BR (which some ce fans still hate to this day) Halo 3 started equipment...which felt like it lead to armor abilities...you get the picture.. Reach might have had broken armor locke for example but also had evade, but without that we wouldn't have seen thrusters in h4, and wouldn't have seen them redesigned for h5. Reach also brought sprint, which is much hated of course....in h4 became a default trait that was unbalanced...but now in h5, is redesigned and balanced. Meanwhile destiny features sprint....with shotgun slides galore.... I've enjoyed every halo I've played, some more than others of course.
