Pequod is the name of the whaling ship commanded by the main character, Ahab. Moby Dick itself is a book about revenge, and Ahab's obsession with revenge as the agenda for his desire to find Moby Dick reflects the Diamond Dogs' agenda for revenge against Cipher.
