What has the fact that you didn't buy Dark Souls 1 got to do with what I said? My point was simply that nobody is forcing you to buy or pay any attention to the series. Personally, I'm sick of people not allowing others to have differing opinions. I also got DS1 free with Gold, probably when you did (without hearing any past info about it, so I had minimal bias), and it has ended up becoming one of my favourite games of the last generation. If you believe the Dark Souls series is crap, then go ahead and continue to do so, that's fine. But that's no reason to attempt to bring those who do enjoy it down.

No. I played for two hours, died twice, and realized "this combat is boring". The game is known for two things: it's lore and it's 'difficulty'. The fact that it's not known for being fun should say something. If it's not fun, there's literally not a single good reason to play it. Also, have you noticed how everyone bitches and moans about Destiny's bosses being bullet sponges? Why is it that Dark Souls bosses are just really beefy insta-kill machines, and yet are praised for their difficulty?

I love the game but if you look he said 2 hours he did not struggle threw the slow easy start before he quit which means he doesn't know the fun and challenge of fighting say ornstein and smough or gaping dragon etc

Again, I was going through the game quite easily. It wasn't that I didn't know how to play. It was that it wasn't fun to play.
