I think the comparison was the Ayer is using one of the most over used op guns and yet is barely able to go positive. Therefor making the Arthur of original post a scrub.

I don't use thorn in crucible anymore, I use hopscotch, or nechrochasm. My past is effecting my average KD, but nowadays I pretty much always go positive
