Ambush applies aim assist as well. That's why when you ask someone like mtash, kjhovey, holtzman, datto, triple, goth or anyone else that makes videos and is good at the game they'll say "either ambush or shortgaze" for optics. IIRC instead of 70aa on shortgaze it's like 45 ? Not to mention it gives +20 stability and more than double the handling of shortgaze. I'm ok with not having a full 70aa when considering the other bonuses it provides. TBH, i'm pretty much ok not giving 2 shits about it. Like I said, I put 1200 hours into the game without touching sniper rifles. I've gotten all the sinper rifle kills on my account in the last 2 months. I decided I'd learn to snipe then because I remade my hunter and wanted to give myself a personal challenge of only using snipers the entire time so I asked around and found out all the "pros" were using hh/ambush and rolled one real quick. It's rly the only thing I'm capable of using because it's the only optic i've adjusted to enough to hit anything with .... tho I do get triple feeds and collats regularly with it now and can do things like go flawless sniping.
