Did you read the article? It said that the story was drastically revised in august

I think the very same article op is talking about mentioned that destinys story was drastically revised before release which is why it was delayed until 2014.

Perhaps the Out Here In the Wild trailer? There's definitely some narrative there. And Halo had at least some narrative, so that doesn't explain the severe lack of storytelling in a new game installment that promised "rich cinematic storytelling" on the cover.
