Oh come one, this has nothing to do with our game or our experience. This is a legal battle over a composer that went full retard and a company that tried not to pay him what he is due. That's it. It has nothing to do with us and does nothing to provide any smoking gun. Either play the game or don't. It's that simple. Yes he was a founding member of Bungie and they tried to do him wrong when he went nuts over his music not being used in a promotional trailer. All this teenage angst is so cute.

  • I do actually. He is one of the founding members of Bungie. Doesn't change that he freaked out over his music not being used.

  • It's a play on his lack of English skills. Look at the post I am responding to. You're pretty thick Nicholas if you don't see that. Just because we disagree, doesn't mean you need to get all testy. :)

  • He was one of the founders of Bungie. He's not just some composer. He helped build that company from the ground up.

  • He was a cofounder of bungie... He was basically family to them and he felt he was being turned against so he did something about it. Anyone in their right mind would done the same thing. If bungie treats their cofounders and employees like this, then where to we sit? We're just fans. They'll take our money, kick us out the door and not give a damn at all. It has everything to do with our experience. You just don't want to believe it.

  • Read the article again. This is about a composer (who happened to be a founder) that went apeshit over his music not being included in a promotional trailer.

  • I know how to read thank you. I believe he was right in his rage because obviously he won in court so clearly bungie f*cked him. But they only did it because they have their heads so far up activisions ass. Go ahead be my guess, put yourself in that guys shoes and let's see what you do Mr. Knowitall

  • Yes Bungie wronged him and the judge did the right thing by giving him what he deserved, but that isn't what we are arguing about. Bungie had every right to move on from him, but they needed to pay him what he was owed. The big show down between him and Activision was unprofessional and clearly naive. Publishers choose how trailers are presented not developers. The guy thought he was bigger than the company and he paid for it. Still, he deserved to keep his stocks and the royalties he is now receiving.

He didn't think he was bigger than anything. He was just standing up for himself and his hard work just like anyone else would do. Its pretty clear that he would rather have respect and his work used in Destiny than go to court and get some money that he already deserved. If these big companies want to set a good example they should start publicly confessing and apologizing to their fans for their mistakes and stop trying to hide every time they screw up. If Bungie and Activision treat their employees like this then obviously they'll do the same to us as fans. ODonnells work was amazing. It made Halo 10x more exciting and epic. Composers and music artist are the ones that set the mood for movies and video games. His work was better than most and now who knows what he's going to do. It's just a shame to see such talent go to waste. I blame this all on Activision. I wish Bungie could just develop their own games lol. SO much less drama that way.

  • yes yes it does. "Based on this information and how obsessed by quality and fans are Marty and Joseph Staten, We can imagine why Joseph also left Bungie and maybe that the Destiny original story theory is not so a theory but a reality. If Activision messed with the music then for sure they messed with the story. Even Marcus Lehto is gone."

  • No it doesn't. That was a different employee that resulted in the story change.

All those employees work together on the same game and have to work with one another day in and day out. You don't just fire people who are extremely important in your companies origin and success. You're basically either best friends after that many years. Are you saying you'd fire you're best friend and not pay him his hard earned money because he got jealous and spoke ups few times because he was being cheated out of all his hard work. He did his work because he wanted the fans of destiny, you, me, and millions of others to enjoy Destiny and his artistic work. He could of just said cool, don't use my music, you still have to pay me though. But no he was passionate about his work and tried to stand up for himself, his work and all the other composers out there. That's a rare quality in people these days. I hope he finds a new home soon and makes more masterpieces because he deserved much better than how Bungie and Activision treated him.
