im wondering why over the past year it was bungie that got rediculed for the bad quality when in fact it was activision that holds the reins on the entire project

Bungie is the first thing people see. Those people don't look for those pulling the strings in the shadows (Activision).

This^ I think I figured that out from the start when he got fired and then Joe left. [b]Community majority:[/b] "Oh that's good they're pushing the release date back. It gives them more time to work on the game :)" [b]Reality[/b]: writer left because of Activision BS. Bungie has to recreate years of writing in less than 1 year which extends release date.

This. Publisher gets final say when content is released, how much is released, etc. Bungie doesn't have much control anymore.

activision put all or most of the money in on this project so they get to have final say on what goes in and out of the game

That's what a publisher is. Microsoft gave them tons of freedom and time to work on halo. So it was better overall. Activision is notorious for quick, incomplete releases it seems.
