AND THEY GAVE US THE MIDDLE FINGER!!!
The ODonnell vs Bungie legal battle is over and the truth prevail and is visible for all of Us to see and confirm that BUNGIE NO LONGER CARES FOR QUALITY, BUNGIE NO LONGER CARES FOR THEIR FANS, BUNGIE ONLY CARES OF PROFITS.
Marty stood against Activision decision to transform the musical score of Destiny from a gourmet dinner to a fast food meal.
Ex-Bungie composer Marty O’Donnell wins epic legal fight with former bosses.
Based on this information and how obsessed by quality and fans are Marty and Joseph Staten, We can imagine why Joseph also left Bungie and maybe that the Destiny original story theory is not so a theory but a reality. If Activision messed with the music then for sure they messed with the story. Even Marcus Lehto is gone.
Seriously, this is really disappointing, for the first time since Pathways Into Darkness Im disgusted with Bungie.
Marty, You have proven that You really cared for Us. Your place in history will always be bright and inspiring.
What a shame Bungie, really what a shame...
-
I got about halfway through that article & realized how boring this is. Next!
-
I'll be glad when all the tin-foil-hat folks leave the forums and game for good.
-
Wait what happened with Marcus Lehto?
-
Been fan of him for 10 years and I will continue to support him
-
From reading the article it sounds like they fired him because he had a colossal temper tantrum and pissed off anyone trying to work with him
-
Y I u shouldn't exclude Bungie because it was them that decided to get rid of him and try to cheat him out of his money.
-
Edited by Sawbdawg: 9/5/2015 3:39:24 PMTl;dr, can someone sum up the article
-
Yawn.
-
-
After all they are for profit company. Just like you getting a job to make money to support you and your family. So did you sold your soul too?
-
Was a good read this. Just further confirms what many of us already knew. The love of money is the root of all evil
-
I don't understand why people don't see that already. every company cares about money. they may make it seem like they don't care about the fans, but the fans, there is no money.
-
I'm ashamed of this forum. Tinfoil hats. Tinfoil hats everywhere.
-
Wait what? Can someone sum up all that Salt to me with something that is not in all Caps?
-
This part of this fan base that hates Bungie is like a person from a neighboring country of another that's has extreme elitism on his mind. If you don't agree with said person he will make sure you die in the name of Allah
-
This is off topic Reported for spam Keep this garbage out of the DESTINY sub forum
-
:0 so many big comments in this thread
-
I'm a big fan of Marty's work in destiny. Too bad he got fired
-
Should people really be shocked that businesses want to make money? Anyway none of this even matters anymore. Destiny is on to year two. People are having fun with the game. It's not like all your crying over what could have been, or this court thing is going to change things now. Move on.

Edited by funk_INC: 9/5/2015 2:19:04 PMBungie appeared to side with him and back him until he started to slow down other people progress and that is when he was let go, don't get me wrong activision are in the wrong here, but how this dude conducted himself was not good for the rest of the team Notice how it was not management that where complaing about just prior to his dismissal, it was his co workers. The reason why he has won this case is because, while bungie/activision having solid grounds to dismiss him, they did not go through the process in a correct manner
-
Every one will not care come 2 weeks or wait I don't care now
-
Bungie would be sued if They didn't listen to activision they signed a contract
-
Maybe now everyone will stop acting like this bungie is the same bungie that made halo. It hasn't been since they left Microsoft and got worse before destiny even came out. All the talent stayed at 343 or made their own company called highwire studios. And even the founders left this shit company.
-
I really dislike this idea of 'us vs. them', where 'us' is a heroic example of an underdog wrongly mistreated by those in power while 'them' is some vague, antagonistic 'corporate' scapegoat only focused on getting as much money as possible.
-
What does this have to do with anything?
-
Marty did the right thing, and got fired for it. That says it all. Hail Bungies new lord and master Activision®™©
