CONFIRMED: BUNGIE SOLD ITS SOUL...

AND THEY GAVE US THE MIDDLE FINGER!!! The ODonnell vs Bungie legal battle is over and the truth prevail and is visible for all of Us to see and confirm that BUNGIE NO LONGER CARES FOR QUALITY, BUNGIE NO LONGER CARES FOR THEIR FANS, BUNGIE ONLY CARES OF PROFITS. Marty stood against Activision decision to transform the musical score of Destiny from a gourmet dinner to a fast food meal. Ex-Bungie composer Marty O’Donnell wins epic legal fight with former bosses. Based on this information and how obsessed by quality and fans are Marty and Joseph Staten, We can imagine why Joseph also left Bungie and maybe that the Destiny original story theory is not so a theory but a reality. If Activision messed with the music then for sure they messed with the story. Even Marcus Lehto is gone. Seriously, this is really disappointing, for the first time since Pathways Into Darkness Im disgusted with Bungie. Marty, You have proven that You really cared for Us. Your place in history will always be bright and inspiring. What a shame Bungie, really what a shame...

Actually, he wasn't fired for that at all. He was fired for being a Debby Downer, bringing company morale down, I wouldn't be surprised if he was the reason Destiny was delayed. Bungie knew Activision wanted him fired, but instead, they gave him a lecture at their next board meeting, but he didnt care, he still keep feeding negative emotions. I'm not saying he should not have gotten his money back, he should have, but he got himself fired, this is just acting out.

    • "While Destiny was planned for a September 2013 release, the story was substantially revised in August 2013"... Now I'll admit that I'm no legal expert but I'm fairly certain that if this wasn't true then there is no way it could be in the article because of a little thing called libel.

    • I don't give a rats arsse about the music in this game. I don't know the guy so I can't say whether or not he's a blam! Too much stuff has been missing from the original vidoc. Out here in the wild. There are many missions you won't see without writing a check.

    • I do think bungie cares, but they are held by activision. Its just unfortunate but we just have to deal with it. I figure theyre trying their hardest to do what they can. But you can only do so much with companies like Activi$ion, or EA. bungie is like two face in the batman movie. The good guy, but due to the joker (Activision) it becomes something its not (but obviously not as much as two face but you get the idea) i have some hope. And the games still fun. Even if these things come out and its true, its been along time and most people who still play have dealt with it and moved on.

    • That was actually a good read. Thanks for sharing. Activision is becoming another EA.

      • Maybe I'm reading this wrong. But summary of article is: Bungie were wrong to hold off his pay and revoke his shares. Music guy was wrong to throw his toys out of pram as he didn't like the music for the E3 trailer. (As it wasn't his.) Thus he got fired, and bungie gave him his shares back. There's no judgement to say they were wrong to terminate him. Just wrong in how his final pay packet was calculated.

        • Maybe, they'll spend the next 5 years making their destiny and put a different skin on it and market the game we all wanted as something better by signing with naughty dog or square Enix or something that wants quality no matter how long it takes to make

        • man, why does everybody have to have extreme views on things? this is whats wrong with people these days, extremists. the article paints an interesting picture, but most notably it shows an example of artists squirming in the grip of a contract. Bungie made moves it needed to as a company, O'Donnell made moves he needed to as an individual, but more as an artist as well. nothing here is clear-cut, besides Activi$ion being generically evil corporation. Bungie is a massive group of people trying to balance business and art. O'Donnell is just one who teetered off the scales. what does that mean? something complicated.

        • I don't see why people blame activision so much. I bet 90% of the people here would do the same thing if they were in the shoes of the ceo. Money changes people and millions would make you not give a shit about anyone but yourself.

Did you even read the whole article? Marty threw a temper tantrum and was fired for it. Bungie took his stock, which was wrong in my opinion but Marty kept company property which is a fire able offense at any business. Both parties were wrong and an arbiter mediated and fixed the situation. Marty is a baby who didn't get his way at E3 and wasn't performing then got himself fired. Bungie should not have taken his stocks away. Marty should not have kept Bungie property. Arbiter made Marty give Bungie there property back and Marty got his stocks. Seems like both parties could have handled the situation better to begin with.
