There is no law. It was a Supreme Court decision using the 14th amendment that allowed for universal gay marriage in America.
But you have to give the marriage licenses out. You work for the government and have to adhere to its laws and Constitution. Don't force your religion on someone else.

I'm confused as to why some people don't realize the first amendment 1.ALLOWS you to practice or not practice any religion so long as it doesn't interfere with others lives or break laws. 2.makes it abundantly clear that religion is to be kept out of government and vice versa. (Separation of church and state) A government/state worker Denying gays a marriage license because of religion pretty much means there 1.discriminating (covered by 14th amendment) 2.Putting religion into government 3.Not adhering to law
