Toland had the balls (mental instability) to try to recreate a weapon of hive design that would corrupt and eat away at its user.

    Yup. Literally wanted to understand a song that manifested the death of whoever hears it. Still, Ikora and Osiris are both quite high up on the badassery scale. Toland was the most metal, though. And that post you linked is really cool. I never considered the Shrine mentioned in that card to be one that the we actually encounter, let alone directly influence.
