Edited by Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 9/4/2015 5:28:04 PMThe pursuit for it is probably the most noble goal. Sharing what you find with others is probably the most admirable thing one could do with it. The alternative is belief. And there is not an amount of belief that makes anything true. So I think a better question is, why do we hold belief with such high regard?

It gives us something to chase, why do you chase girls when you ask them if they like you and they say maybe, you want the truth, why are there detectives because we want the truth, why has your dog not come home yet and your parents aren't telling the truth, you chase until you have it

It isn't important. Humans just make it that way so they have a reason to keep going.
-
Who says it's unattainable and who says it's important?
-
Because I'm not lying
-
Because I said so.

It's not that the truth is unattainable; it's just that's what they want you to believe so you'll stop searching.

We have nothing better to do with our lives. There is no true meaning so we go around searching for it because it's the only rational thing to do.

Edited by Masque of Night: 9/2/2015 6:56:26 PMWhen trapped inside of a delusion, it's wise to act in accordance with it until a point is reached where one can be free from it. I know very well that the reality i've come to know could easily be an entirely fabricated farce, but it's where I am, so may as well operate within the rules of the realm for the time being, as not to cause suspicion. At least that's what i've come to go by.
