Shotgun nerf should makes fusion rifles better in PvE as a better mid/close range alternative in some cases. As for PvP the adjustments to range and pellet speed supposedly make the hit registration better and more consistent, rather than the current system of players with packet loss seeming to be invincible to them. Have to wait and see if that's true.

In PVE a base damage buff is needed. Nuff said

Their damage is fine, shotguns were so powerful they supersede them. When shotguns get nerfed, fusions become better by proxy. Vs snipers, they will always be the best weapon in the game in terms of DPS as long as precision damage is done, and that's how it should be. If fusion rifles put out damage closer to precision snipers they'd be so broken OP.

All the special weapons should put out comparable damage in PvE, but at their respective ranges. Shotguns - Insane damage at extreme close range. These should have the most damage, because they have the most risk associated with them and very limited range. Fusion Rifles - Very high damage (higher then they currently are), to compensate for their charge time and they're wonkyness at close range. These are supposed to be Mid range killers. Snipers - Very high damage at the longest ranges, and boosted by precision shots. Snipers are often the safest options, because you just hunker down in the back and barely any shots hit you.

That right there shows you have zero understanding of game balance.

Destiny isn't like other shooters. Other shooters don't have Fusion Rifles. They have to fit somewhere in the middle of Shotguns and Snipers, which in my opinion they aren't right now. Plus, what I described is exactly what the game is currently, aside from Fusions. Currently, shotguns do the most PvE damage, but snipers have the most range damage. My understanding of the Special weapon balance is spot on
