What is the purpose of the Cult of Osiris? I know they want to know as much as possible regarding the light and the dark. Also they seem to think the Speaker is a fraud. But the trials seem like overkill for this. Getting the best of the best Guardians who work flawless as a team. Unless they plan on overthrowing the speaker. It seems like they are planning for something big but we dont know what that is.

  • They're definitely planning something, most likely preparing for something.

  • I heard something a while back that they were planning for the coming of Oryx. But to me that doesn't fit right. Osiris is all about the Vex. Guess we will have to find out in the future.

  • I would agree that the trials is a tougher version of the crucible, meant to find the best of the best, to prepare for the toughest fight to come. When the queen has skolas (the second time), skolas makes mention of oryx (light snuffer) to variks. The queen sends out two crows as a result, one to Mercury and one to her new ally in the tower. The new ally is Eris who has been actively recruiting the queen for the fight vs oryx. And Mercury? The lighthouse. The place of the best guardians the trials has produced. They'll need them for oryx

  • Osiris also was mildly obsessed with the Hive deities, offering up prophecies about the coming of the gods
