Year 2 iron banner gear?
I'm an ultra noob when it comes to pvp. I have over 600 hours and most weapons and raid gear, but today was my first time doing iron banner. I managed to get 2 of efrideet (spelling?), a timurs lash, as well as like 5 other legendary drops. My question is does anyone think we will be able to ascend our iron banner legendaries like ghelons and felwinter? I mean they're designed as pvp weapons, and I'd think it would only make sense that we would still be able to ascend those for future IB events. Just wondering if anyone has any insight.

There will be a whole new lot of IB gear for year 2. Given attack rating is irrelevant in normal cruicble all the current IB weapons will function as normal in the regular crucible. And given how effective blues are in current level advantage pvp such as IB and trials I think you'll find they'll still hold their own in year 2 IB. Having said that the new IB weapons should hopefully be a better option.

Same here, only entered to get the three PVP exotic bounties. Very new to pvp (new to gaming full stop for that matter) . Whinged and moaned my way through days of IB (and some crucible control) and was fortunate enough to achieve all bounties - very aggressive bunch of rapscallions by-the-way. Along the way I picked up a couple of spears, launcher and a cannon or two and broke the bank on all IB weapons and armour. Yay for me right - WRONG. The long and the short of it is.... If it's purple anything, in year two its an antique and only good for storing in your vault and using in vanilla destiny outings only (and I believe only Juju and invective are moving to Y2)

8 RepliesNo way you got all that, you have to be level 3 IB and up to get any drops.. Efrideets spear is a rare drop and you got two with barely any time played in IB.

You never got to ascend iron banner gear, unless you talking about etheric light which is for all legendaries and the said they aren't do it for year 2.

3 RepliesIm not a fan of any of them anyway. Probably because my first iron banner was when how dropped, so all the decent possible rolls were removed Except for felwinters, but i never use shotties in pvp anyway. I do like efrideets but i prefer my longbow. Or shadow of veils(i know, scrubby)

it seems that current IB weapons will be obsolete in year 2. If iron banner continues in year 2 they will have new weapons so I wouldn't spend too much time worrying about grinding for current IB weapons.

2 RepliesProbably not. Chances are they'll release new, year 2 IB weapons. Pictures of the IB sidearm are already all over the place, as well as some pictures of the new armor.

[spoiler]This is the last IB event before TTK[/spoiler]

2 RepliesI don't believe so, at least not at first. It depends on whether Bungie's stance changes on year 1 guns in general. I'm holding onto the entirety of my IB collection just in case.
