Fusion rifle petition
As we know, fusion rifles are the least used special weapon type in Destiny. Fusion rifles were a very good, borderline OP weapon type until they were nerfed. Ever since then, the weapon has become obsolete, and useless, which is sad because it is such a cool concept to have an energy weapon. In the weapon rebalancing notes in Update 2.0, we all expected a significant buff, something that will stand a chance against shotguns, but we were hit with very little adjustments, and a slight nerf!? Suggesting a PVE oriented base damage buff to make them a legitimate option for AI ass-kicking.
Please help bring attention to a dying weapon type in Destiny.

2 RepliesVery correct the balances and tweaks are only directed towards crucible. As for pve you can not even play seriously with fusion rifles even if you wanted to. Not even the hard hitting fusion rifles like praetorian foil or the 77 wizard (Xmas peasants don't know what the wizard is excuse us) stand a chance vs a shotgun in combat the dps of a shotgun vs fusion rifle is not even comparable. A dmg increase to fusion rifles (pve) which they can do would be amazing and we would see a more wide variation of load outs.

1 ReplyDefinitely bumping. I enjoy messing around with fusion rifles in PVE but they are outclassed in too many situations in pvp. Maybe just a straight across the board damage buff in PVE might make them useful again. Or, simply make them able to get critical hits with the bolts. I think the added impact of damage from that would mitigate almost every issue had with fusion rifles. That being said, the spread of the high impact and longer range ones will just make shotguns the more viable option once again. While I love being up in the enemies face blasting them with my hot energy gun, it sometimes is more fun to take a step back, admire the situation, and then blast the crap out of it with bolts of death. Just my 2 cents.

2 RepliesIn the beginning these things were seriously OP. I'm not trying to go back that, but if they tighten the spread a little more that would be nice. Especially on the darn vex! You can miss shots even though they're right in front of you!
