DO YOU HAPPEN TO LIVE IN A VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER? I DON'T WANT TO END UP LIKE YOU, NOT BEING ABLE TO AFFORD TTK AND LIVING IN A VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER o_o (Bump)

I would give you the usual troll response but I don't know anything about British pounds, they are foreign to me :)

Game looks like it is well worth 40. Maybe you should get a job.

Yes, I want to know everything that's included in the DLC to justify the $40. What makes it $40 and not 20 or 30? 30 would've seemed more reasonable.
-
Not 40 $$$$ 40 ££££ and the other ridiculous prices outside the US. $40 is like £23 almost I believe I've seen? I'd be happy with that.
-
Blame you VAT system
-
That's funny.... because it's talking 20% tax there at max from what I can see. It still doesn't add up. Give me the maths with VAT to tell me how that works then???
-
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Value-added_tax Each time it passes a businesses hands the tax is cumulative. Meaning it snowballs and you end up with the final cost. If you don't like it, your fellow Brits have come up with some sort of IP hosting or whatever to set your Xbox here in the U.S. And purchase it at the $40 value. In this country that's tax evasion, best of luck to you
-
I already had a little read through it from your reply to someone else What part says you pay tax every time it goes to a new business? I saw the part about it going from a country with sales/VaT to a country that has the other and both of them being cumulative but can't see anything about VaT being cumulative. Could you paste a sentence to Ctrl + F? Even still £25 and £40 is like a 80% + increase in price. That still doesn't seem to add up unless it's bounced around 4 times... and it's a digital product not a physical good, why's it bouncing around so much then? I don't quite get this stuff so perhaps you could help me to understand?
-
I could count at least two, activision to Microsoft to you. I can't tell you how your system works as it's not mine to deal with. I can only research it and forward you the information. It's your responsibility to know it. You can purchase a physical collectors edition (full, not dlc) for the same price, correct? That product enters and is paid for once. A digital product, shit they can label bungie and activision seperately for all I know. This is the case for games in Japan, I cannot purchase FFXIV for one system (steam/ windows) and have the OSX version for download. That country sees the product as two separate entities. As I said, your Brit buddies came up with a solution to circumvent the issue. Your choice
-
Not really my responsibility to know it. I doubt you know exactly how your country works completely. That also makes no sense that it's the same price as the one including all previous parts of destiny. Just because it's how it works as you say, doesn't mean it's right.
-
I've made a statement previously that I don't agree with it. I also don't agree with the property taxes in the state I live, and here's the kicker, I'm a tax assessor. The best any of us can do, as an individual, is educate ourselves and use knowledge to our advantage. Unless people started to unite and strike as they did in the older years shit won't change for the poorer folk. And no I don't know every aspect of how this country is ran. I just learn about the small parts required of me. You're welcome for the sliver of direction I've provided that could not be assessed for whomever it concerns. FYI £39 is closer to $60 and that's a 50% increase from the $40 it should be. Not 80% as someone stated elsewhere. If you consider VAT at whatever the hell they decide it to be and also the American tax(I would assume this is on there) it's getting close. It blows, that in this, the world is so divided.
-
If you need someone else to justify the cost of something to you then obviously in your eyes it wasn't worth it to begin with. It's the same argument for when every new wave of consoles comes out. Either you look at what it offers and if it appeals to you and you decide it's worth the value, you get it. Otherwise you don't. It's a decision you have to make, as it is your money. No one at Bungie, no one at Activision, not Deej, not Cozmo, no one else can make that decision except for YOU.
-
I have already made my decision. But I have every right to ask why it's overpriced. It's in human nature.
-
You know I JUST noticed you put 40 £ and not $40. Okay. That is pretty crazy now. $40 for an expansion of this type is pretty normal...$61.89 is not. That's a few dollars shy of the cost of a full brand new game. I see your point.
-
I don't understand why everyone is getting mad at Bungie about the price of TTK when it is Activision that controls the price of the content since they are the publishers.
-
Just because Activision controls the price doesn't mean they can't give us an explanation or get some comment from activision to tell us.
-
I don't understand why everyone is getting mad at Bungie about the price of TTK when it is Activision that controls the price of the content since they are the publishers.
Shouldn't have got into bed with them then if they don't want any stick of passionate gamers like myself. I don't get walked over by anybody and I don't get taken advantage of.
-
Bungie wouldn't have a game and still be afloat as a business right now if not for Activision they're crooked scum but saved bungie and released a decent game plus if you paid no attention the whole point is this is year two it's a new game they've said it themselves plus you pay twenty per cod dlc u get maybe four maps one gun per game and a zombie map they're bring a shit ton more content
-
Then don't get the dlc if you hate what Activision is doing cause they are not stopping anytime soon.
-
Then don't get the dlc if you hate what Activision is doing cause they are not stopping anytime soon.
"Don't buy it then blah blah blah" that's all any of you forum sluts can say. I AM NOT BUYING IT. IF THAT WASNT CLEAR THEN YOU'RE MENTALLY CHALLENGED.
-
If you are not buying the DLC then why bitch about it then, sounds to me like you just want attention.
