Offtopic has zero resemblance to The Flood outside of the fact they are/were the site's offtopic forum section. Forum mentality has changed, there is a whole new generation of users, two different franchises, separating the two. Offtopic is an offshoot of the Destiny community, The Flood was for Halo. The new users have defined this place for themselves but some still cling to the past simply because they want to feel relevant to the veteran members. And if you think that justifies Offtopic being the Flood you are sadly mistaken. Ask any other 4+ year member and you will get the exact same answer. If anyone is hanging onto the past, it's you and anyone else that is desperately clinching onto territory they have no knowledge of.
