If you look at the Heart and Qodron, they share the smoky Darkness. During their worship, the Vex affected the Heart and the Heart affected the Vex

Ya it might be a mutual thing like some kind of symbiotic relationship but I believe the vex are only with the darkness because it couldn't be fully understood by the vex. They work for the darkness, and in return, receive some of its power. That's only speculation though. [spoiler]Long time no see :)[/spoiler]
