I used to play wow back in the day and I was expecting stuff to become obsolete in this way. There are a lot of games that do this as they progress. Most of those games are PC games tho so I guess it's new and scary to some folk.

This is what I was thinking. Every expansion in WoW made all the grinding obsolete. But, that was fine. You need new goals to keep it fresh
