Let's test your theory out. Grab a Shadow of Veils and an Efrideet's Spear. Use the Shadow of Veils for a week. Don't use any other sniper during this period. Then, try switching to Efrideet's Spear. You will notice a difference.

I prefer ES over SoV or HB with Hidden Hand. I've got a TDB and a HoW ES, both with Unflinching and Shortgaze SLH10. Nothing more annoying then when Aim Assist locks onto someone else other than your target

This so much

I wasn't saying which was the better sniper. I was saying aim assist does matter.

True, I agree. I'm just saying not everyone prefers high Aim Assist

....I am absolutely not saying that you wouldn't notice a difference... Please look into the number of sniper kills I have and my precision ratio, I know what I'm talking about so please stop challenging my point of view. The engagements that you would be complaining about have very little to do with the in game application of aim assist, which simply allows for slight "drag when you move your scope over a target, sniper battles generally resort to fan battles, these are somewhat effected by aim assist but not at all to the point at which the SoV user is relying on a crutch. Snipers don't really have many crutch attributes aside from final round... Many different snipers have high aim assist stats, they generally suffer utility trade offs elsewhere because of this.
