Dentistry has been in development a lot longer. And since the game mechanics are almost the exact same, I'd say it's a ripoff.

Considering black ops is a constant series by treyarch and uses the same engine it has since black ops 1, 3 has actually been in development for a long ass time, I'd bet they had 3 in development at least 3-10 years ago and since bungie signed their activision contract in 2012, it was only in true development (as in actually going to happen) for 2 years, you don't know that they didn't borrow ideas from call of duty (which they have, every fps has) and as I said every game has similarities to pretty much every game, it's not ripping off at all.

Well technically it has been (even longer tbh), all of its basis was set up back then given that the thing that the game runs on and needs to actually work was created back then. Honestly though the entire point is that nothing rips anything off, if you think like that then technically bungie ripped off crysis with the invis and bow and arrow, cod with a wide selection of the guns, attachments, movement etc, borderlands with the art style and rpg elements, world of Warcraft with the raids. Every game has similarities to every game, it doesn't mean they are ripping each other off.
