Hello forums, I have returned! There has been a great lapse in my riddles recently, mostly because of school and a possible fanfic. Nevertheless, here is my most recent riddle! ________________________________________ Who/What are we? Wha[i]t[/i] powers do we hold? What secrets do we contain? That is for you to find out, or perhaps not. We are found where they once resided, the c[i]a[/i]ge that kept them. There are similar ones around us now. Our ancestors you have meet thrice before, yet we remain obscure. Face us, and discover the truth. Or be forever lost. [b]Hint 1[/b]: Little lights, how naive you are. Come, wal[i]k[/i] along the shore with us. Our master, our servant, the crusader, is no longer here. Or is he? Once upon a time, we were different, but only just. Our comrades, though... [b]Hint 2[/b]: This is your fault, guardian. Our existence is from you. Before or after you met us, you aveng[i]e[/i]d those that were lost. You spared their Light, and slew death itself. We are only some of his tools, his weapons. Descend into the dark, and remember... [b]Hint 3[/b]: This was something we did not expect. They stormed our gates and broke the lock. Perhaps they have always bee[i]n[/i] here. And now they will be here for eons to come. That is for you to find out, or perhaps not.[/i] Taken Oracles have been seen very few times in the various TTK trailers. You can only figure out their secret if you buy The Taken King. [i]We are found where they once resided, the cage that kept them. There are similar ones around us now.[/i] They've only been seen in the Gorgon's Labyrinth. They are surrounded by other Taken Vex. [i]Our ancestors you have meet thrice before, yet we remain obscure. Face us, and discover the truth. Or be forever lost.[/i] Normal Oracles are found in VoG normal, VoG hard, and the Wolves' Gambit mission. In the Unseen Paradox mission, you discover secrets behind Praedyth. Or is he?[/i] Oracles are stated to taste like the sea, and Praedyth skipped on time's ocean. You destroyed The Templar, but time is odd in the Vault. [i]Once upon a time, we were different, but only just. Our comrades, though...[/i] Taken Oracles seem very similar to normal Oracles, while other Taken are changed drastically. [i]This is your fault, guardian. Our existence is from you. Before or after you met us, you avenged those that were lost.[/i] It is because you slew Crota and avenged Eris's fireteam that Oryx has come. [i]You spared their Light, and slew death itself. We are only some of his tools, his weapons. Descend into the dark, and remember...[/i] You prevented Crota from drinking from the Chalice and consuming the Light of Eris's fireteam. Taken Oracles are only some of the numerous Taken enemies. Praedyth is unknown to us only because he was expunged by the Vault. [i]This was something we did not expect. They stormed our gates and broke the lock.[/i] The Oracles did not foresee Oryx's coming. The Taken opened the Vault and infiltrated it's depths. [i]Perhaps they have always been here. And now they will be here for eons to come. Or perhaps no time at all.[/i] Gorgons look suspiciously like Taken Harpies.
