I agree and disagree. Some of the year 1's being left behind (gally, thorn) are undeniably OP. With them in the game, you feel obligated to use them because they're so powerful. At the same time, there are people who genuinely love those guns. It seems like they're just throwing the OP guns anyway instead of trying to balance them. I don't remember the exact quote, and I don't remember who said it so don't hold me to this, but they said, at certain points of time, certain weapons will be OP and weapons will have their time in the sun. That's the exact wrong way to balance a game. You should always strive for more competitive options.
